Hizb-e-Wahdat Islami Afghanistan
(The Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan)

What is our mission?
Our mission is to bring peace, brotherhood, equal rights, national unity and justice for all peoples of Afghanistan.

Current status of Wahdat
The Islamic Unity Party was a vital and key member of the United Front forces of Afghanistan in the fight against the terrorist Pakistani and Saudi supported Taliban and al-Qaeda forces in Afghanistan. We fought united alongside our Uzbek, Tajik, Pashtun, and American brothers in the fight to liberate Afghanistan from the idiotic, radical terrorist groups known as the Taliban and al-Qaeda. Wahdat strongly supported any peace proposal established among the world community and most importantly, among the Afghans themselves that would represent every ethnic group of Afghanistan fairly including the full participation of women in the government. In other words, we wanted a broad-based government that would give each ethnicity in Afghanistan a fair chance in the major decisions of their country.

Wahdat supported the Bonn Conference in Germany, that took place in 2001. Wahdat supported Mr. Hamid Karzai, an ethnic Pasthun Afghan, as the prime minister of Afghansitan in the interim administration after the inhuman Taliban Regime. Earlier this year, in 2002, Wahdat strongly supported the Loya Jirga (grand council) which united the ethnic tribal leaders across Afghanistan in a 7-day meeting on the future government of Afghanistan. Thus, we strongly support and stand by the appointed president of Afghanistan, Mr. Hamid Karzai.

Currently, Hizb-e-Wahdat has two of it’s members in the active role of the Afghan government in Kabul. Mr. Ustad Karim Khalili, leader of Hizb-e-Wahdat, is one of three vice presidents of the transitional government of Afghanistan (2002-2004). Mr. Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq, the Chairman Political Committee of Hizb-e-Wahdat, is the Planning Minister of Afghanistan. Alongside their ethnic brothers and sisters, they are working hard on the national unification and reconstruction of war-torn Afghanistan.

Hizb-e-Wahdat strongly believes in equal rights, freedom, peace, social justice, national unity, brotherhood, and for the well being of any citizen in Afghanistan. In part, Hizb-e-Wahdat hopes to achieve equal rights for all peoples in Afghanistan as well as peace, for 23 years of bloodshed in Afghanistan against it’s own people is enough.

"The demand for rights is a call for brotherhood amongst the different peoples, not for enmity"

If we conceive it through epistemology, diversified civil society is the outcome of cultural identity that safeguard and protect the fate and future of a people. We have to focus our vision to the challenges facing our people’s identical issue over the years. Efforts should be made through collective means to put an end to ethnic and religious conflicts and confrontation that broke out under the framework of confronting ideologies that took place during the past era. We also feel it out right to have desire for; a society in which the dignity of individuals and the diversity of culture and civilization are respected is now being sought.

Today the world has entered into the 21st century and in order to establish such a society in which multi-cultural and multi societal issues are to be resolved through mutual relationship between nationalism, regionalism and globalism and the image of the world, it is essential to struggle for the security of our people from various perspective, including politics, economy, society and culture.

Tanzeem Nasle Nau Hazara Mughal is a national organization and basically stem its existence from the notion that ‘You are’, ‘I am’ and ‘I am you are’ and the desire to live with dignity can’t but to be accomplished through national interaction. To get to this aims and objective of Tanzeem Nasle Nau Hazara Mughal which was engineered by the founding members is rooted to the pragmatic approach for the Hazara people and to the integration in the world community.
