N.Y.O is an organization, working on the affairs related to youth, as we believe that youth is the backbone of every society and their awareness and organization is thus necessary.

N.Y.O, since established has been working in different fields to give the youth a manifold of activities to play their due role in the society’s development. Our activities are not only limited to E.L.T (English Language Teaching) but we have also established a library for dissemination of knowledge through books, moreover workshops, seminars on different social issues are points of our concerns, besides, N.Y.L.S (New Youth Literary Society) shows our concerns for literature and promotion of literary activities and provision of ground to young poets, writers and artists. Though we have been struggling to master the youth in the field of computer technology, which is undeniable in today’s world of Info-tech. Yet unfortunately due to the lack of resources we have not still been able to organize a full equipped computer lab for our youth and students.

So hearing of F.P.A.P’s support in this field, we have sired a hope to receive some support in enabling us to launch our computer lab for youth. N.Y.O being a manifold organization has a body of Ten (10) staff members and Fifteen (15) organizers who are busy day and night to uplift a number of more than three hundred students only under its English Language Program and as well in improvement of their activities in the aforesaid fields as to serve our society.

(Back ground and perspective)

“Preamble”

Dear friends,

   An organization is defined as a group of people having common ideas and common tasks, meeting and discussing after regular intervals to determine strategies as to put their vision and mission into practice.

   Organizations have been having a major importance through out the whole human history, for it had been impossible to compete the vicissitudes of nature without any prior planning and arrangement and it would have been impossible to cover-up the distance stretched between savage wild life and today’s modern human civilization and culture, though the primitive organizations were the result of very unconscious efforts of man, yet again living in tribes forming communities, hunting together and eventually establishing societies have been the remarkable result of coming to gather and organizing themselves. In today’s modern world of modern societies it has become more important to have organizations of different kinds and types to deal with human matters or to arm them to face the vicissitudes of the modern life. In today’s world living without any platform, organization, or institution is like to invite catastrophe even death, because without any organization our miraculous power will dissipate in the air like steam dissipates without piston box, but if put in an steam engine with a piston box, becomes so enormous a power that can make gigantic machines move.

Dear listeners,

   As it is very much obvious for us that a society is composed of social, political and religious forces, but a society like ours is mainly dominated by tribal values and norms which has somehow and somewhat dogmatic elements in it too. In the existing dominance of tribal ethics the political and social forces have not been able to exhibit their existence and play their due role in society. Here we come across the fact that these institutions are completely dead and defunct or corrupted in the hands of opportunist leaders and clergymen, who have been badly utilizing religion and politics for their personal proposes. Thus in this way too, they have not been able to play their due role in civilizing the society. Let us not forget mentioning the fact side by side that as is the condition of political or social forces, same has been the condition of our educational institutions basically school and colleges, because they are structurally obsolete conservative in nature and static in form. Thus maintaining no dynamic structural forms they have faced fiasco in bringing changes and sharing their part for progress and development of new values in the society, thus have left out a vacuum in society, which has been filled, by immorality and nonsense. In this stage of hue and cry some years ago language based institutions (which are rightly to be called socio-educational centers or social change agents) started forming in every nook and corner of the town which primarily were limited to teaching language, but found themselves in confrontation with evils of society, thus, then to now, they have been widening their range of side activities, and are becoming a very nice alternative to fill the vacuum originated due to failure of aforementioned institutions.

Their successes inevitably lie in their dynamic structures and clear vision. Though still very much limited in their course of action, there can be proposals to widen their range and it can be recommended in the proposal to extend their range of action to other related social activities as to promote social awareness and change the society to a desired stage to come out of today’s rottenness and the line of action which is still limited to language teaching must be thought over to be extended to cultural field as to make these institutions more influential and more respectable in the society, which will be a positive step, indeed, if taken.

Youth and Society

   It is our general conclusion that youth is the backbone of every society for that the history is a great witness that youth have been playing great role in setting forth a society on the track towards progress. As it is said that when storm comes first the leaves are shaken in the same way youth before everyone else is affected by the events and circumstances around them and before everyone else they perceive and act in the given situation. Undoubtedly they are the only barometers to measure the mood of society. Youth is that force in compulsive, hence youth’s organization is very necessary because we think that today’s society is in need of great changes and youth is the power to get it done.

N.Y.O (Aims and Objectives)

   N.Y.O is an organization, working on the affairs related to educating & training the youth and students, as we believe that youth is the backbone of every society, who wheel and shoulder it with their enormous potential and talent they possess. But their potential only then can express itself positively when it is organized, when their thoughts are patronized, and when they are well trained, which is infect, very much necessary.

   Secondly N.Y.O is not found in the pursuit of only financial gains but it is rather a promise, a commitment to change our dream of serving society into concrete reality. N.Y.O, since establishment has been working in different fields to give the youth a manifold of activities as to enable them to step ahead and get involved in the matters of society and develop a positive insight to draw logical conclusions and solutions. N.Y.O is to train and prepare the youth and students, mentally to enable them to courageously face the vicissitudes of real life and as well as changing the situation in their favor.

We the members of New Youth Organization believe that before every other organization we have tried to widen our range of activities beyond the limits of English language teaching, because we believe that our responsibilities are much greater then that of English language teaching and we are responsible for our society, for improvement of its norms and values, for patronization of its people’s thought, for fighting the social evils and for raising not only problems but giving solutions to come out of the existing form of society.

   Hence our “vision” and manage is social awareness. Our mission is to change the society and improve our educational, social, and cultural setup and our strategy is to achieve our mission through academic activities like seminars, lecture programs, debate contests, literary functions (Mahafil), staging dramas on different issues to support and as well as promote awareness to make people feel the need for socio-educational or in other words cultural change and betterment as to finally reach a better civilized form of society. A better world.
