Introduction of the Organization

Society for Community Development formerly known as Meritorious Educational Society has been established by a group of committed and professional volunteers in 1994.Miss FARIDA ALI is the director of Society.
Having kept in view the educational problems and thrusts in the area. The

Started functioning with the establishment of Meritorious Public Middle School in Ali Abad Kirani Quetta. It was the initial and major activity of the SCD that was undertaken in a good manner. The Meritorious public Middle School was enrolled with Balochistan Education Foundation and Directorate of Primary Education for its registration.

The SCD aimed that without proper education and awareness raising nil development work could be implemented properly. It is therefore the volunteers of the SCD also holds community meetings in order to create awareness among the masses resided in the area for the provision of better education and development of good linkages among the parents and school.
Aim and Objectives

1.Primary Education

This is the best way to remove illiteracy and provide a base for further education. People due to one reason or the other cannot get enrolled their children in primary school. This area will be the focus for educating the children by establishment of schools on the basis of no profit no loss.

2. Poverty alleviation

Poverty is wide spread phenomenon in the province and large section of society is living below the line of poverty. This is the priority objective of this organization to make efforts and develop programs for the alleviation of this vicious entity. Organization will do the same by employment generation in the areas that must be studied and analyzed dedicatedly. Small and medium-sized enterprise is specified to be potential to address the issue.

3. Environmental protection

a) To develop awareness and environmental indispensability and damages infinite upon and by.
b) Initiating projects on environment.

4. Struggling for Human Rights.
